Dave Pelz offers advice on handling the difficult green on the ninth hole at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
This green is sloped and very fast, although the slope and speed were reduced just enough to make it more player-friendly but still challenging.
Pelz also examines the similar 18th green, which has about the same slope and speed as the ninth, but it has the added difficulty of dense rough just beyond it to punish shots that miss the green. These two greens will determine the speed of the rest of the greens.
