How to handle difficult lob shots
This video golf lesson goes over the basics of hitting lob shots, with advice that will have you getting the ball up and down quickly and effortlessly.
A successful lob shot will have a high trajectory, short distance and little to no roll on the green. Most golfers handle lobs by taking an outside swing, but on the particular hole in this video, there is an added challenge of a hill that instead requires taking the club slightly back inside and then swinging up so that the ball does not come back.
It is also important to open the clubface when hitting lobs.
