In this video golf lesson, PGA Professional Laird Small, one of GOLF magazine's "Top 100 Teachers in America," demonstrates an easy drill that will help golfers determine the correct amount of grip pressure for their swing.
The drill involves getting a feel for the weight in the club, which is important since the body not only moves in response to that weight, but it also helps to support the weight.
Holding the club up at a 90-degree angle, and then slowly bringing it down to its normal position, will allow you to feel the different weight distributions in the club that require different amounts of grip pressure, eventually guiding you to the right amount.
