Frank Nobilo teaches how to get a good grip

In this video golf lesson, former PGA Tour player Frank Nobilo goes over the basics of having a good grip on the golf club, which is an important aspect of a swing that many golfers ignore.

The correct grip will allow you to have complete control over the golf club. Nobilo shows you the three types of grips: the baseball grip, the Varden grip and the interlock grip. In addition to the types of grips, Nobilo discusses the differences between a strong grip, a weak grip and a neutral grip, and he also goes over the amount of pressure the grip should have and where.

One of the most important things to remember is that the lighter you hold the club, the more power it will have.

    Frank-
Thanks so much for a great golf grip tip referring to Ben Hogan's book showing both the index finger and thumb extended producing a smooth swing without the surprising hook or fade.
Please send me a Golf Channel email address so I can send you a one-minute video I took today hitting off my homemade driving range deck with the beautiful deep blue El Paso TX sky and my dogs in the background.
I found you lesson to immediately improving the consistency and speed of my swing to produce the high and straigh shots needed with my irons.
    Thank you again!
    Sincerely,
